Job Overview

Search Solution Group is seeking a Bilingual Human Resources Director on behalf of our client, a company that provides janitorial, cleaning, and specialty services to commercial office buildings, educational institutions, and industrial facilities. This role is responsible for overseeing employee relations, labor and union relations, investigations, hiring, and corrective action while ensuring a people-first approach. The Director of HR will report directly to the VP of Human Resources and work closely with managers and leadership to drive performance management, employee engagement, and talent development. The ideal candidate has strong union and labor relations experience, excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the performance management, employee engagement, and talent development team
  • Partner with managers and leaders to address employee relations issues while balancing business and employee needs
  • Conduct and lead internal investigations for company divisions as required
  • Provide management mentorship to build leadership capabilities in handling employee issues
  • Assist in soft skills and mandatory compliance training throughout the year
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends and recommend strategies for improving performance, retention, and employee experience
  • Develop and implement succession plans and career development programs
  • Oversee performance management processes and team planning
  • Act as a primary union contact for all union-related issues, including grievances

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent experience

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources
  • Strong union and labor relations experience required
  • Proven track record of strategic HR partnerships that improve the employee experience

Skills

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
