Job summary

Arcosa Wind Towers seeks a Bilingual HR Generalist at our Belen, NM plant to support onboarding, policies, employee relations, and performance processes. You'll engage in benefits administration, workforce planning, and engagement initiatives, promoting a positive culture and ensuring labor law compliance.

You'll report to the Plant HR Manager and collaborate with management across shifts to deliver HR services, training, and employee support in both English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of HR experience in an HR environment.
• Maintain high level of confidentiality and accurate records.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook; PowerBI.
• Familiarity with UltiPro HRIS.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication; strong proofreading and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR services and support to Arcosa managers for effective HR management.
• Conduct training sessions and investigate complaints to foster a fair workplace.
• Maintain accurate employee records with data privacy controls.
• Serve as a first point of HR inquiry on benefits, policies, and performance management.
• Handle policy interpretation, employee inquiries and orientation support.
• Maintain EEO/AA logs and personnel records for compliance.
• Enroll employees in programs; process new hire and benefit paperwork.
• Provide general administrative support for daily HR operations and training.
• Lead new hire orientation and record retention activities.
• Support leaves management (FMLA, LOA, workers’ comp) and other leave issues.
• Maintain personnel files and retention requirements.

Arcosa Wind Towers is searching for a Bilingual HR Generalist to join our Belen, NM plant. In this role, you will be part of onboarding employees, administering HR policies and procedures, handling employee relations, and managing performance appraisal processes. The HR Generalist is also involved in benefits administration, workforce planning, and employee engagement initiatives. Additionally, they play a key role in promoting a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and providing support to both employees and management in various HR-related matters. This role reports to the Plant HR Manager.

What you\'ll do:

• Take charge of providing HR services and support to Arcosa managers, ensuring effective human resource management.
• Conduct training sessions and diligently investigate both informal and formal complaints, fostering a fair and inclusive workplace.
• Maintain accurate employee records, implementing robust data privacy and security processes.
• Serve as a central point for first-tier HR inquiries, spanning benefits programs, and policies, offering support in performance management, employee grievance escalation, policy interpretation, business event implementation, workforce balancing, and new employee orientation.
• Respond to employee and management queries regarding policies, processes, and other HR-related matters, adhering to prescribed responses.
• Implement and maintain departmental procedures, EEO/AA logs and reports, and personnel records, ensuring compliance.
• Enroll employees into programs and efficiently process new hire and benefit paperwork.
• Provide general administrative support for daily departmental operations and training programs.
• Take responsibility for new hire orientation and the record retention program, ensuring compliance with requirements.
• Process and track information in support of policies and benefits such as Leave of Absence, FMLA, Worker Compensation, and other leave issues.
• Oversee the maintenance of personnel files and records, ensuring compliance with retention requirements.
• Spearhead employee retention initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
• Potentially participate in confidential investigations of complex employee relations issues.
• Prepare and represent the organization at unemployment hearings when required.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned, showcasing flexibility and adaptability in supporting overall plant operations.

What you\'ll need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience working in an HR environment, demonstrating a robust understanding of human resource practices.
• Capable of maintaining a high level of confidentiality, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of records.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PowerBI, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with UltiPro, showcasing a strong understanding of HR management systems.
• Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, demonstrating skill in assessing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, including strong proofreading abilities and presentation skills.
• Full proficiency in English and Spanish

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position
• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds which operate 2 shifts
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
