Job summary

BAMKO is seeking a bilingual HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team in a fast-paced environment supporting warehouse operations. You will recruit hourly staff, onboard new hires, maintain HRIS data, and ensure compliant HR processes.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required to create positive employee experiences while upholding policy and law. You will partner with warehouse leadership, manage employee relations, benefits, time off, and compliance tasks.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years HR experience, preferably supporting warehouse or distribution environments.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; professional communication.
• Experience recruiting hourly warehouse employees.
• Understanding of HR best practices and employment law.
• Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for warehouse employees and supervisors.
• Support full-cycle hourly recruiting, including posting positions, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, extending offers, and coordinating pre-employment requirements.
• Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding for warehouse employees.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data while ensuring confidentiality.
• Process new hires, employee changes, promotions, transfers, and separations.
• Assist with employee relations by responding to employee questions and escalating issues when appropriate.
• Translate HR communications between English and Spanish as needed.
• Partner with warehouse leadership to ensure staffing needs are met while maintaining a positive employee experience.
• Track attendance, leaves of absence, and other employee documentation.
• Support benefits enrollment, open enrollment, workers' compensation administration, and leave management.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour regulations and I-9 verification.
• Conduct employment verification, background checks, and maintain onboarding documentation.
• Assist with performance management processes, employee recognition initiatives, and engagement activities.
• Prepare HR reports and maintain recruiting, turnover, and workforce metrics.
• Participate in employee events, safety meetings, and HR initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture.
• Support audits and maintain accurate HR documentation in accordance with company policies.
