Job summary

TEXAS WESTERN MANAGEMENT PARTNERS operates Embassy Suites in Austin, TX and is seeking an attentive housekeeping team member to maintain guest room cleanliness and public areas. This role supports inventory control, staff coordination, and timely communication with other departments to uphold service standards.

All candidates must be able to speak both English and Spanish, with responsibilities including room inspections, linen management, and safety trainings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the level of cleanliness in guest rooms, storage areas, laundry areas, restrooms, and public areas.
• Distribute keys and work assignments to staff.
• Complete follow-up on vacant or occupied rooms.
• Assist in the ordering and receiving of linen and cleaning supplies to maintain inventory levels.
• Ensures the completion of the Housekeepers Report and communicates clean and available rooms to the Guest Services Department.
• Document and communicates maintenance requests to the Engineering Department.
• Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner and follow up on guest satisfaction.
• Display a professional image through appearance and dress.
• Follow company policies and procedures and communicate them to subordinates.
• Conduct training classes regarding safety, security, department procedures, and service guidelines.
• Ensure hotel compliance with federal, state and local laws including OSHA, EEOC, Wage-Hour and Health laws.
