Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Dual Language Haitian Language/Elementary Teacher who is bilingual and biliterate in Haitian Creole. An English as a Second Language license at the appropriate level is highly preferred.

Reports to: Principal/Head of School

Responsibilities include teaching elementary in a dual language setting, aligning with state standards, and maintaining a positive learning environment with ongoing assessments.

Qualifications

• Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree.
• Hold a Massachusetts Teaching License in Elementary 1-6.
• Hold a Bilingual Education Endorsement (TBE approved).
• Must meet state/federal standards to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified.
• Authorized to work in the United States by start date.

Responsibilities

• Teach: Elementary in a Dual Language Setting.
• Implement district goals with district curriculum.
• Create a developmentally appropriate, child-centered classroom.
• Establish structure with positive relationships and routines.
• Administer district assessments per guidelines.
