Job summary

Humina Resource in Torrance, CA is seeking a Japanese-English bilingual Family Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care in a community clinic serving a large Japanese-speaking patient population.

The FNP will work closely with physicians and staff to deliver patient-centered care, perform examinations, and manage both acute and chronic conditions. This role supports care continuity and requires strong bilingual communication in Japanese and English.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted California RN license and NP license.
• Current Family Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Current furnishing and prescribing authority, as applicable to the position.
• Japanese and English bilingual communication skills.
• Experience in primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, or related clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care services within the FNP scope of practice.
• Conduct patient assessments, histories, and physicals.
• Evaluate and manage common acute and chronic conditions.
• Develop and communicate treatment and follow-up plans.
• Order and review diagnostic tests as appropriate.
• Prescribe medications within clinic protocols.
• Provide preventive care and patient education.
• Coordinate patient care and referrals with physicians and staff.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation.
• Communicate clearly with Japanese- and English-speaking patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinic staff to support continuity of care.
