Job summary

Wu Yee Children's Services is seeking a Family Engagement Coordinator to lead agency-wide family engagement initiatives, coordinate parent leadership, develop education programs, and support transitions from enrollment through program exit. The role requires working across Center-Based, Home Visiting, and FCCHEN options with a focus on PFCE framework and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience working with children and families.
• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, Human Services, Education, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Knowledge of Head Start/Early Head Start standards and local community resources preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiative Coordination: Lead and coordinate agency-wide family engagement initiatives; develop family engagement resources, workshops, and engagement campaigns.
• Parent Leadership: Coordinate Parent Ambassadors, Family Committees, and parent leadership opportunities.
• Parent Education: Develop and coordinate parent education including financial literacy, parenting education, health education, and family learning opportunities.
• Transition Support: Support family engagement from enrollment, orientation, and onboarding through transition and program completion; coordinate Pre-K to Kindergarten and other transition activities.
• Staff Coaching & Training: Coach Family Service Staff (FSS) on family engagement best practices and strategies; provide coaching, technical assistance, and training to FSS.
• Program Alignment: Support Center-Based, Home Visiting, and FCCHEN programs, ensuring the implementation of the PFCE Framework.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and agency policies; conduct monitoring, quality assurance, and continuous improvement activities.
• Data & Documentation: Monitor ChildPlus documentation, file quality, and family services requirements; analyze family engagement data and recommend improvements.
• Policy & Communication: Develop and update policies, procedures, forms, and family service tools; maintain regular communication with staff and families to support quality program performance.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other content areas to support children and families; participate in Self-Assessment and other program improvement activities.
• Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
