Job summary

Child Development seeks a Family Development Educator to conduct weekly home visits and co-create lesson plans with parents. You will deliver comprehensive family services aligned with Head Start performance standards, and ensure timely health, education, disability and mental health screenings.

The role requires maintaining records, collaborating with families on goals, and participating in ongoing training and community outreach across Ventura County.

Qualifications

• Current state-awarded child development associate teacher permit or an associate degree in child development or related field with coursework in growth, family, and infant/toddler units.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a childcare, preschool or social service setting with case management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly home visits with families for 1.5–2 hours per session.
• Develop and implement weekly lessons in partnership with parents.
• Provide services per Head Start standards and complete required screenings/assessments.
