We’re seeking abilingual Social Media Manager & Content Creator (English/Spanish)to lead our digital voice across platforms, build community trust, and create engaging, accessible content that reflects our values and amplifies our mission.

About the Role

This is afreelance (1099) positionfor a seasoned digital storyteller who’s fluent in both English and Spanish and has experience managing brand presence across multiple channels. You’ll shape how we show up online — connecting with Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities, Spanish-speaking users, and accessibility advocates with empathy, clarity, and purpose.

What You’ll Do️ Weekly
  • Manage and publish content across English + Spanish platforms:
  • Instagram
  • Facebook
  • LinkedIn
  • TikTok
  • YouTube Shorts
  • Threads (optional)
  • Create and schedule 3–5 posts/week that are accessible, inclusive, and optimized by platform
  • Maintain a rolling 2-week content calendar in Notion or Google Docs
  • Write all captions with inclusive language, proper alt text, and accessibility best practices
  • Monitor and respond to comments/DMs across all channels
  • Align regularly with our Spanish-language agency (Los Network) to ensure consistency and cultural resonance
Monthly
  • Deliver 1 performance report with insights, growth trends, and platform-specific observations
  • Join 1 monthly content planning sync with our US partnerships team
  • Participate in 1 creative strategy session for upcoming campaigns or launches
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience managing content for mission-driven startups or nonprofits
  • Fluent written and spokenEnglish + Spanish(cultural fluency across LATAM a major plus)
  • Strong portfolio with engaging content across 3+ of the following: Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Threads
  • Deep knowledge of digital accessibility, including:
  • Alt text
  • Captioning and subtitling
  • Inclusive visual design
  • Experience working with Deaf, Hard of Hearing, bilingual, or disability-centered communities
  • Highly organized, self-managed, and confident in adapting tone across platforms
  • Bonus: familiarity with Notion, Slack, Canva, or Buffer
Compensation & Contract Terms
  • Monthly Rate:$3,000–$3,500 (based on experience)
  • ~20 hours/week expected
  • 3-month initial contract, with potential to extend
  • Must be authorized to work as a1099 contractor (US-based)
  • Paid monthly by invoice
