Job summary

Labcorp in Washington, DC is seeking a bilingual English - Spanish Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collection and handle specimens with care and accuracy.

This role emphasizes customer service, data entry, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a phlebotomy certification or training, and 3 months or more experience. Bilingual fluency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 1 year+ phlebotomy experience.
• Bilingual English–Spanish not required but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other Duties as assigned

Work Schedule

• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm (must be flexible); Saturdays as assigned

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
• Bilingual English - Spanish

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency may meet requirements
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Travel to additional site as needed, reliable transportation

PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Pay

**Pay Range: $17.75 - $26.00 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
