Job summary

GetixHealth, LLC is hiring an Eligibility Screener (Bilingual Required) at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, CA. The role is onsite, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with compensation at $25 per hour plus a quarterly bonus.

You will assist patients in identifying and applying for third‑party resources, explain eligibility requirements, and coordinate with hospital staff to ensure timely processing. A high school diploma and bilingual Spanish proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual Spanish required for patient communication.
• Vaccination and drug screening clearance required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Healthcare coverage/eligibility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in applying for third‑party resources including state aide.
• Determine patient eligibility for programs and document findings.
• Communicate with physicians, case managers, and hospital staff daily.
• Educate patients on eligibility requirements and verification steps.
• Maintain timely certification and record all activity in designated systems.
