Job summary

La Causa Charter School is seeking an Elementary School Teacher to join our instructional team. You will plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in a bilingual context when applicable, building a positive classroom culture.

The role emphasizes data-informed instruction, collaboration with families and staff, and adherence to state and district guidelines. English or bilingual classrooms may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or a closely related field from an accredited college or university (required)
• Valid Wisconsin DPI Teaching License in the appropriate licensure area or eligibility to obtain a License with Stipulation (Emergency License)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency required for bilingual teaching positions

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality instruction aligned with Common Core Standards and the school's curriculum
• Create a positive, organized classroom environment that supports student learning and behavior
• Administer formal and informal assessments and use data to drive instruction
• Collaborate with grade‑level teams, Special Education staff, ESL teachers, and administrators
• Maintain communication with parents, guardians, and colleagues
• Fulfill all mandated reporter responsibilities as required by state laws and school policies
