Job summary

Sylvania is seeking an English Language Instructional Aide district-wide for a full-time, eight-hour-per-day position following the school calendar. The role supports EL students and assists the EL Teacher with instructional and supervisory duties.

Responsibilities include translating written materials and providing interpretation services for Spanish-speaking families, and collaborating with staff to promote inclusive learning.

Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to work with students of all abilities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of basic educational classroom operations.
• High degree of organization, self-initiative and accuracy in work performed.
• Possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills and project a positive and courteous attitude and image to the staff, students, and community.
• Ability and skills needed to work as part of an educational team. Must be fluent in Spanish.
