Job summary

Millcreek Township School District seeks an Educational Assistant - Multi-Language Learner for Grandview Elementary. The role supports teachers, handles attendance, assists in the library, and helps with front-desk duties in a busy school environment.

Position is part time, 181 days per year, 5.5 hours per day, with a starting date To Be Determined and posted under MTSD guidelines. Ideal candidates will have strong computer skills and a willingness to learn new software.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years post-secondary (48 credits) or an Associate Degree or passing Title I Paraprofessional Assessment test.
• Computer and office skills required.
• Good communication skills required.
• Knowledge of middle school office, attendance, and library preferred.
• Willingness to learn new software or equipment as needed.
• Alternatives as board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with non-instructional duties, administer reading tests, and supervise students.
• Assist in the office with duties such as front door security, phones, mailings, filing, document prep and data entry.
• Assist in the attendance office, track daily attendance and compile excuses.
• Assist in the library with duties as assigned by the principal or librarian.
• Greet visitors professionally and maintain building security procedures.
• Respond to daily building needs with flexibility and adaptability.
• Model professionalism and supervise students in non-instructional settings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
