Looking for Bachelor/Master Level Sociology/Psychology majors and Educators.

Schedule Monday - Friday

Pay $47,840 - 56,160 Annually - PLUS INCENTIVE

(This is an hourly position/ Based on a 40 hour week)

SUMMARY: The Bilingual Early Intervention Developmental Specialist enables an eligible child and the child’s family/caregivers to receive the rights, procedural safeguards, and services authorized to be provided under the State’s Early Intervention system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Determine services in collaboration with families using Individualized Family Service Plans.
  2. Perform home visits, screening, assessment and educational group activities in the natural environments while adhering to all Massachusetts Department of Public Health Early Intervention Operational Standards.
  3. Attend parent meetings, community case conferences, transitional activities or relevant activities that may include providing insight, information, referral or advocacy for child and family.
  4. Maintain and update all clinical records in the Early Intervention Client System.
  5. Provide co-treatment capacity consultation to other team members in matters requiring discipline expertise.
  6. Prepare for Certification as an Early Intervention Specialist within three years of employment.
  7. Maintain expertise through attending meetings, in-services, continuing education or other programs.
  8. Maintain assigned productivity level on a monthly basis.

QUALIFICATION:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited institution as determined by the Operational Standards.
  2. Knowledge and skill obtained through at least two years of experience in human services.
  3. Skill in communicating and working both independently and within a team.
  4. Ability to provide current copy of all required professional licenses, CPR, first aide and health records.
  5. Bilingual in either Portuguese, Haitian/Creole or Spanish.
  6. A qualifying criminal background check, driving record and a valid driver’s license required.
