Job summary

Family Building Blocks in Salem, OR is seeking an Early Head Start Home Visitor who is English/Spanish bilingual. The role involves weekly home visits to support infant/toddler development and family goals, with a schedule of Monday–Friday 8 am–5 pm.

The ideal candidate has a CDA or AA in Early Childhood Education and a year of relevant experience, plus a valid Oregon driver’s license and the ability to pass a background check. Bilingual proficiency qualifies for language differential pay.

Qualifications

• CDA credential or AA in Early Childhood Education required.
• One year of social services experience with infants/toddlers.
• Background check and drug test required.
• Oregon driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly home visits focusing on child development and family support.
• Create a safe, nurturing home learning environment for infants and toddlers.
• Provide parents with tools to support their child's learning and development.
• Complete health tracking, developmental screenings, and connect families with community resources.
