Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) is hiring an Educator for La Jornada to nurture a positive educational environment and address cognitive and emotional needs of children. You will collaborate with Assistant Educators to deliver high-quality education, health, and parental involvement services to enrolled students.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in education, bilingual English/Spanish, and a commitment to developmentally appropriate practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or Elementary Education is required.
• Willingness to obtain TESL certification paid by NYAP.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a developmentally appropriate program for students.
• Develop weekly lesson plans and activities to meet individual needs.
• Assess children’s development and adjust plans accordingly.
• Provide guidance to Assistant Educators and ensure student safety.
• Participate in recruitment activities to meet program goals.
• Document attendance and progress per requirements.

Education
