Job summary

Kinder Growth Therapy in New Jersey is seeking a part-time DIRFloortime therapist for in-home sessions. You will provide 1:1 play-based therapy, build trusting relationships with children, and collaborate with supervising clinicians to tailor sessions to each child.

The role supports flexible weekday afternoons and evenings, with some weekend options, and includes mentorship and data collection using a mobile device.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Reliable transportation to in-home sessions.
• Working phone or tablet to collect session data.
• Able to pass Federal and State background checks.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or child development.
• Preferred: DIRFloortime model experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide playful, 1:1 DIRFloortime therapy to autistic children

Requirements:

• Ability to engage physically with children (e.g., playing on the floor)

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field (education, psychology, child development, etc.)
• Preferred: Experience with the DIRFloortime® model

Experience (1+ year required)

• Childcare (babysitting, daycare, preschool teacher, assistant teacher)
• Special education (educational settings, special needs)
• Developmental intervention (early intervention)
• Autism interventions (RBT/Behavioral technician, autism support specialist, ABA therapist, other DIRFloortime experience

Schedule

• We ask each employee and family to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week, with sessions typically lasting 2–3 hours per day.
• Most sessions take place after school (between 3–8 PM on weekdays) and anytime on weekends.
