Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• RDA or EFDA certification preferred/required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required at a level 10.
• ALTA score of 10 eligible for differential compensation.
• Ability to perform four-handed dental assisting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient medical records and update history and vital signs.
• Perform complete X-ray procedures and store in EDR/EPIC.
• Record periodontal charting as directed by provider.
• Prepare instruments and equipment for patient exams.
• Assist with infection control and sterilization, including autoclaves.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene.
• Assist in orthodontics including records and retainers as needed.
• Follow TJC/HRSA/YVFWC guidelines and perform other duties as assigned.
