Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is hiring Team Members to interact with customers and fellow team members, supporting selling initiatives and completing assigned tasks to deliver a Legendary Customer Experience.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, uncovering needs, recommending product solutions, and adding value. You may operate cash registers, perform stock tasks, assist with loading purchases, and help maintain a safe store environment including poultry areas.

Qualifications

• Experience: No experience required. Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Regardless of education level, Team Members must be able to read, write and count accurately.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and basic computer skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts and vary hours, including nights, weekends and overtime.
• Greet the Customer.
• Uncover Customer’s Needs & Wants.
• Recommend Product Solutions.
• Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer.
• Operate cash register/computer following cash handling procedures.
• Recovery of merchandise and participation in mandatory freight process.
• Complete Plan-o-gram merchandising, sets and resets; assemble merchandise.
• Perform janitorial duties and execute price changes/markdowns.
• Operate forklift and baler where age-appropriate.
• Assist customers with loading purchases.
• Ensure a Legendary shopping experience and the safety of birds.
• Complete all documentation for duties.
