Job summary

Farmworkers Institute Of Education And Leadership Development seeks an CTE Instructional Assistant to support EPIC CTE Teachers by assisting adult students in small groups and tutoring across pathways. Qualifications

• Must have English usage, punctuation, spelling, and grammar, plus second language usage as needed.
• Basic arithmetic concepts.
• Knowledge of FIELD and EPIC/CTE policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of ethical guidelines per FIELD and laws and regulations.
• Skill in managing positive student behavior.
• Skill in data analysis to inform instruction.
• Skill in organizing, time management and record keeping.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, Google Suite, AERIES and related software.
• Ability to support online instruction with relevant tech.
• Ability to address diverse learner needs and collaborate with professionals.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assists CTE students and teachers in person and online.
• Supports individualized learning plans for bilingual/bicultural needs.
• Tutors individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Develops and maintains instructional materials and online programs.
• Maintains student records and files.
• Assists with testing administration and scoring.
• Maintains instructional materials inventory.
• Supports a learning environment suited to students' needs.
• May use a second language and provide cultural experiences for bilingual/bicultural learners.
• May translate to facilitate communication when needed.
• Helps students operate technology for assignments and courses.
• Assists with scheduling and plans for support staff and substitutes.
• Assists teachers with grading assignments based on keys.
• Attends staff meetings and ensures clean classroom operations.
• Performs site opening/closing procedures.
