Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. (ESS) seeks a Construction Safety Trainer to implement and manage health and safety practices in accordance with OSHA regulations and client standards.

The ideal candidate is a self-directed, detail-oriented safety professional with strong communication and computer skills who thrives in a fast-paced, compliance-driven construction environment and serves as the on-site EHS lead, conducting toolbox talks and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of construction safety experience.
• Bilingual English & Spanish.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and safety platforms.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary EHS representative for the project and ensure compliance with safety regulations and contract requirements.
• Support the project management team with on-site safety inspections, reporting, and training coordination.
• Conduct and document daily safety inspections of the job site.
• Maintain accurate safety logs, incident reports, and OSHA recordkeeping (injury/illness logs).
• Interface with regulatory agencies such as OSHA as needed.
• Provide ongoing safety training and toolbox talks to on-site personnel.
• Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with facility management and subcontractors to align with EHS standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with training/teaching contractors/sub-contractors.
