Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking a CSLP student worker to support church partnership activities and community service programs in Phoenix. The role emphasizes hospitality, event coordination, and outreach to immigrant families under pastoral supervision.

Eligible students must be enrolled at GCU and maintain GPA requirements; the position is designed for up to 20 hours per week during the academic year, with possible summer eligibility, and ends June 30, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly community events such as Hispanic Heritage Month, Church Anniversary, Fall Fiesta, Community Christmas Meal and Tamalada, and other events.
• Support the Stories of Hope program by organizing meals, hospitality, and healing-centered environments for immigrant families.
• Assist in growing outreach ministries, including volunteer coordination, setup, and participant engagement.
• Offer hospitality to guests during worship and events and help them connect to church life.
• Follow up with visitors via calls, texts, or welcome notes under pastoral supervision.
• Ensure Sunday programming for Spanish-speaking children and youth is prepared and supported.
• Prepare supply lists, coordinate logistics, and assist with documentation (photos, reports, feedback).
• Other duties as assigned.
