About the Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated full-time Community Engagement Specialist to engage with and enroll individuals living with Serious Mental Illness/Substance Use Disorder, experiencing homelessness, and/or those with high medical needs.

For candidates residing in California, this role will require 1-2 in-person field visits per month. For individuals located outside of California, the position will be fully remote.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, outreach, engage, and enroll individuals into the program virtually and in-person.
  • Listen openly to eligible members and adopt a “it’s not my fault but it is my problem” attitude in communication.
  • Educate partners regarding Pair Team’s services.
  • Explain the services and benefits of Enhanced Care Management.
  • Leverage understanding of the community and customer service skills to gain trust and enroll members.
  • Promote effective communication among internal teams and partners.
  • Meet key enrollment metrics to support our mission.
  • Manage the end-to-end enrollment funnel.
  • Provide updates on funnel stages including delays and blockers.
  • Utilize internal/external technology tools effectively.
Must-Have Qualifications:
  • You are physically located in California.
  • Reliable transportation for field engagement.
  • Quiet, HIPAA compliant workspace for remote work.
  • 1+ year of experience in a metric-driven environment.
  • 1+ year of cold calling experience.
  • Dedicated to improving your community.
  • Results-driven with a proven track record.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills and comfort with multiple technology platforms.
  • A valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Skilled at “reading people” and understanding nuances in communication.
  • Experience with high volume outreach and engagement campaigns.
  • Reliable and adaptable in a changing environment.
