Job summary

AAD Hendry Educational Opportunity Center (AAD HEOC) is seeking a Counselor to deliver bilingual college-access, financial aid, and workforce-pathway counseling to adults 19+ in the Collier/Charlotte zone.

You will guide intake through postsecondary enrollment, develop Individualized Success Plans, coordinate FAFSA and admissions steps, and partner with local agencies to support low-income, first-generation learners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, sociology, social work, or workforce development.
At least two years of experience in TRIO, college access, adult education, school counseling or workforce development.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

Outreach and recruitment of residents, schools, and community organizations in English and Spanish.
Collect, screen, and process applications and determine eligibility.
Conduct multi-domain needs assessments and write individualized success plans.
Provide counseling on career, education, and workforce pathways.
Assist with college and apprenticeship applications, FAFSA, and financial aid.
Lead workshops and coordinate referrals to partner programs.
Maintain follow-up, data entry, and program evaluation activities.
Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with grant requirements.
