Job summary

La Joya Independent School District seeks a Child Nutrition Service Van Driver to transport food and supplies to schools, ensuring proper temperature control and safe handling. The role requires a high school diploma, a valid Texas driver’s license, and bilingual English/Spanish ability.

You will assist in warehouse tasks, practice safety procedures, and support the Child Nutrition Services department. Forklift certification is required or to be obtained as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and supplies to school cafeterias while keeping food at proper temperatures.
• Lift and carry up to 45 pounds as needed.
• Assist with warehouse and inventory procedures under supervision.
• Follow safety regulations and report accidents or hazards.
• Store incoming foods and USDA commodities appropriately.
• Assist in stocking and organizing supplies in campus kitchens.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
