Job summary

Houston Metro Urology seeks an experienced bilingual Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians in an outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, assisting during procedures, and accurately documenting patient information in Athena EMR.

The role requires Spanish proficiency and MA certification. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience, phlebotomy exposure, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bilingual in Spanish required.
• Certified Medical Assistant in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years experience; 6 months phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Assist clinicians during examinations and procedures.
• Record patient information in Athena EMR and communicate results.
• Take vital signs and collect specimens as directed.
• Administer medications, injections, and vaccinations as prescribed.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain patient privacy.
