Job summary

Dallas ISD is seeking qualified teachers to develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum. You will tailor lessons to accommodate different learning styles and present material in accordance with TEA guidelines and district policies.

You will establish pupil behavior standards, evaluate progress, communicate with parents, and plan with staff to ensure student success across grade levels. Regular attendance and collaboration with principals are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and Texas teaching certificate with endorsed subject/level.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Ability to follow specific instructions with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving educational standards.
• Commitment to ongoing professional practice and growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans showing written preparation evidence.
• Prepare lessons reflecting accommodations for diverse learning styles.
• Present material per Texas Education Agency guidelines and board policies.
• Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior.
• Evaluate student progress and report to parents when required.
• Conduct assessments within state or district guidelines.
• Teach within the defined course of study for the subject and grade.
• Plan lessons leading to objectives and prepare substitutes' notes.
• Deliver varied learning experiences using multiple media and methods.
• Identify pupil needs and collaborate with staff to address issues.
