Job summary

Trinity Youth Services in California is seeking a Full-Time Bilingual Instructional Paraprofessional to support a Residential program. You will provide individual and group instructional assistance to youth and help Lead Teacher plan and implement developmentally appropriate instruction.

You will translate for families as needed, assist with materials, maintain records, and participate in team meetings. The role requires Spanish bilingual skills, a Bachelor’s in Education or related field, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field (single subject) in English, Math, History or Science.
• One year of experience in a school setting or with youth in a residential setting.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English and Spanish.
• Fluency in Spanish (verbal and written).
• California driver’s license with clean DMV history.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and/or group instructional support to children.
• Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and implementation of instruction.
• Translate for communication with parents via phone or meetings.
• Perform routine clerical and record keeping activities.
• Assist in proctoring and scoring work and keeping records and grades.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and school reports.
• Drive a vehicle when necessary.
• Attend staff trainings and meetings as required.
• Observe and evaluate child progress and development.
