Job summary

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish and ability to carry out all job functions in both English and Spanish.
• Knowledge of child welfare practice and policy including abuse, neglect, and dependency.
• Trauma-informed understanding of the impact on children and families involved with the child welfare system.

Responsibilities

• Monitor child safety in homes with identified neglect or abuse.
• Assess safety of children and risk of continued harm.
• Engage families in case planning to promote safety and permanency.
• Refer to community resources to strengthen family supports.
• Conduct home visits and coordinate services across medical, educational, mental health, and psychiatric care.
• Prepare comprehensive court reports and participate in related proceedings.
