Chicago Children's Advocacy Center is seeking a part-time, temporary Bilingual Child Life Assistant in Chicago, IL. The role supports children’s emotional well-being through developmentally appropriate activities and close family collaboration.

The position requires at least an associate degree in a child-related field, 2+ years with children, and strong communication skills; CPR is preferred. Employment ends 2027-04-23 with comprehensive benefits and flexibility on scheduling.

Qualificações

• Associate degree in child development, family studies, or human services
• 2+ years experience working with children
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, CPR certification preferred

Responsabilidades

• Provide developmentally appropriate and culturally competent play materials and activities.
• Prepare children for appointments considering their developmental, emotional, and educational needs.
• Provide guidance to families during their visit to the center.
• Observe child behavior and provide intervention as directed by child life specialists.
• Facilitate child-directed play and socialization with other children.
• Build rapport with children and families and maintain relationships with returning families.

Conhecimentos

Bilingual English/Spanish

2+ years experience with children

Excellent communication

CPR certification preferred
