Job summary

Positive Development is seeking a part-time Bilingual Child Development Specialist (English/Spanish) in Pico Rivera, CA. You will work one-on-one with autistic children in home-based or center settings, coaching to improve communication, social, and daily living skills through play-based interactions.

The role offers direct pay of $26–$30 per hour, plus admin/training pay of $20 per hour, with flexible part-time schedules and mileage reimbursement. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 1 year of volunteer or working experience with children required.
• Strong communication skills and professionalism with families and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Build communication, social, and daily living skills through play and activities.
• Create meaningful connections to help children think, create, and engage with the world.
• Follow a relationship-based intervention model to achieve strong outcomes with fewer session hours.
• Track progress by documenting session notes and goal outcomes.
• Collaborate with clinicians and supervisors to build clinical skills and confidence.
• Learn evidence-based developmental care in real life.
