Job summary

Positive Development in Passaic, NJ is seeking a Bilingual Child Development Specialist (English/Spanish) for a part-time role in our Clinical department. You will work directly with autistic children, coaching and supporting development in communication, social, and daily living skills.

You'll partner with experienced clinicians, receive paid training, and enjoy flexible part-time hours (3–5 days per week, with late afternoons or weekend shifts).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 18+.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (30–40 min drive radius).
• Ability to complete physical tasks, including floor play for up to two-three hours per session.
• Strong communication skills and professionalism with families and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Build communication, social, and daily living skills through play and shared activities.
• Create meaningful connections to help children think, create, and engage with the world.
• Follow a relationship-based intervention model designed for effective outcomes with fewer session hours.
• Track progress by documenting session notes and goal outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with clinicians and supervisors to build clinical skills and confidence.
• Learn how evidence-based developmental care works in real life, not just in textbooks.
