Job summary

Houston Metro Urology seeks a bilingual Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians in a busy outpatient clinic. You will perform clinical tasks, take vital signs, administer medications, and maintain accurate Athena EMR records.

The role requires CMA certification, BLS, and a strong emphasis on patient communication and HIPAA compliance. Experience with urology or Athena EMR is preferred, with a focus on high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Education – HS Diploma or GED.
• Certification required – CMA and BLS.
• Must be Certified Medical Assistant and bilingual in Spanish.
• Experience with EMR documentation and patient records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Document patient information in Athena EMR.
• Take vital signs and perform routine patient tests.
• Administer medications, injections, and vaccines as directed.
• Call patients with lab results and prescription refills.
