Bilingual Certified Diabetes Health Educator – Cigna Onsite Health - Phoenix, Arizona

  • Provide virtual/onsite face-to-face customer coaching and support
  • Identify customer health education needs through targeted health assessment activities
  • Collaborate with customers to establish health improvement plans, set personalized evidence-based goals, and support customers in achieving those goals
  • Empower customers to become active participants in their own health outcomes
  • Assist customers in overcoming barriers to better health
  • Lead and support health and wellness promotional activities, such as group coaching, wellness challenges, and health-related seminars
  • Perform biometric screenings, including finger sticks, blood pressure, body composition, etc.
  • Utilize biometric values and motivational interviewing techniques to collaborate with customers to improve clinical outcomes
  • Support health-related site events like open enrollment, wellness committee facilitation, flu shot events, and health fairs
  • Demonstrate and promote the Consumer Health Engagement cultural beliefs, serving as a role model for organizational results

What we expect from you:

Must be bilingual in Spanish

  • Strong clinical skills with at least 3 years of experience in certified diabetes health coaching, health education, and health promotion
  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field; Master’s preferred
  • Current ACLS/BLS/CPR/AED certification
  • High energy and dynamic presentation skills
  • Positive role model demonstrating healthy behaviors
  • Passion for health improvement
  • Ability to work independently
  • Customer-centric focus
  • Ability to proactively collaborate with clients and partners
  • Understanding of clinical targets and outcome measurements with ability to develop action plans
  • Strong computer and software skills

Bonus points for:

  • CDE certification
  • CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist)
  • Motivational interviewing training/experience
  • Experience with smoking cessation and diabetes management

This role is onsite in Phoenix, Arizona. Candidates must pass background, drug, and nicotine screening. For remote work, internet must be broadband (at least 10 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload).
