Job summary

Tierra Encantada in Minneapolis seeks an Assistant Director to support center operations and drive educational quality. You will partner with the Center Director to meet enrollment goals, coach staff, and ensure safe, compliant classrooms for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily admin tasks, communicating with families, overseeing classroom coverage, and maintaining high standards in operations, safety, and family engagement.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in a lead teacher or assistant director role in a daycare or early education setting.
• Bilingual Spanish and English required.
• Minnesota teacher and director qualifications per state statute.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities; problem solving and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Center Director in operations, enrollment targets, and staff development.
• Lead floats and kitchen staff; cover classrooms and breaks as needed.
• Coordinate daily admin tasks and parent communications; ensure safety and compliance.
