Job summary

Pitkin County Human Services seeks a Caseworker to assess the safety and well-being of at-risk children and families in the Aspen area. You will provide case management services, connect clients with community resources, and develop plans to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities include intake assessments, referrals, and coordination across partners; documentation in state systems; and maintaining confidentiality. A strong commitment to diversity and equity is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required with relevant experience.
• Knowledge of human services theories, laws and community resources.
• Experience with case assessment, planning and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess at-risk families and children; evaluate needs, resources, barriers, and finances.
• Develop plans to enhance clients' safety and well-being and coordinate services.
• Identify community services, refer to providers, and manage multiple referrals.
• Document activities in state systems and maintain client confidentiality.
• Collaborate with diverse populations while promoting equity and inclusion.
• Support relationships with the public and county staff; handle sensitive information.
