Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to deliver high levels of service to retail and installer customers and to support store management with tasks. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, enhancing service for a diverse customer base.

The role includes promoting customer service programs, helping customers select merchandise, handling cash and transactions, and performing store operations and basic automotive services according to training and policy.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs, i.e. Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.
• Greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in selecting merchandise.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
• Complete assigned company training relevant to position.
• Answer store calls per policy, lookup parts, quote prices, and offer related items and Low-Price Guarantee.
• Maintain and secure cash drawer; accept cash/cheque, make change, process credit card transactions.
• Process exchanges and returns per policy.
• Address and resolve customer complaints.
• Assist with daily image maker, planogram updates, freight receival, stocking shelves, etc.
• Perform daily operational tasks such as merchandise returns to dist center, stock counts, etc.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
• Perform in-store services such as wiper installation, battery tests, etc.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
