We are currently seeking a bilingual Assistant Property Manager to support daily operations at one of our apartment communities in Houston, TX. This role offers close collaboration with upper management and ownership, as well as the opportunity to develop leadership and operational skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily property inspections to maintain curb appeal and operational standards

  • Support and monitor leasing and marketing efforts, including lead follow-up and application approvals

  • Assist in driving resident satisfaction, lease renewals, and retention efforts

  • Review collections and support timely resolution of resident accounts

  • Oversee and monitor maintenance work orders, make-ready units, and inventory control

  • Audit rent rolls for lease expirations, delinquencies, evictions, and month-to-month tenants

  • Assist in resolving resident complaints and maintaining a high level of customer service

  • Ensure daily system updates are completed accurately

  • Maintain current permits, licenses, and compliance records

  • Conduct weekly inventory checks of the maintenance shop

  • Submit HR documentation to corporate (new hires, payroll, terminations, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) – fluency required

  • Minimum of 3 years of on-site property management experience

  • Prior experience supervising staff or overseeing daily operations

  • Proficient in property management software (Resman or similar)

  • Strong budgeting, administrative, and communication skills

  • Computer proficient, including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
