Irving ISD is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to assist the classroom teacher with the instructional and behavioral needs of students. You will support in implementing programs, including self-help and ESL supports, under the supervision of a certified teacher.
The ideal candidate holds Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certification or a high school diploma, communicates effectively, and can operate basic office equipment. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred in some settings.

PAY GRADE: Paraprofessional 030 (187 days)
Assist the classroom teacher to provide for the physical and instructional needs of students. Assist in the implementation of classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management, and instruction. Work under the general supervision of the principal and the immediate direction of a certified teacher.

Safety: Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and District policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidences immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in the ongoing efforts to improve and maintain workplace safety.
