Job summary

Roxbury Central School is seeking a full-time Bilingual Aide to support English language learners and students needing native-language assistance. Fluency in Spanish and English is required, and the position offers benefits per the CSEA contract.

The aide will provide one-on-one or small-group support, translate and interpret when appropriate, reinforce lessons, and help with classroom activities. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, remains patient, and works well with children and staff

Roxbury Central School has the following opening:
Bilingual Aide

Full-time position. Fluency in Spanish and English is required. $17.80/hour with benefits per the CSEA contract

The Bilingual Aide provides instructional and language support to students who are English language learners or who benefit from assistance in their native language. Working under the direction of teachers and school staff, the Bilingual Aide helps students understand classroom instruction, assignments, school routines, and expectations. Responsibilities include providing one‑on‑one or small‑group support, translating and interpreting when appropriate, reinforcing lessons and academic skills, and assisting students with classroom activities. The Bilingual Aide promotes effective communication between students, teachers, families, and school personnel while respecting cultural differences and maintaining confidentiality. The position may assist with monitoring student progress, preparing instructional materials, supervising students, and supporting a positive and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates fluency in English and another language, strong communication skills, patience, cultural awareness, and the ability to work effectively with children and staff. Prior experience working in an educational setting is preferred.
