Job summary

Grail Family Services is seeking an Early Literacy & Math Coordinator to support development and coordination of after-school literacy and math learning opportunities within YWCR+ and BEST programs. The Coordinator works with staff, families, and community partners to provide engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that strengthen foundational literacy and math skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Mathematics, Literacy, Youth Development, or related field.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required, including translation between both languages.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with public speaking experience preferred.
• Experience working with families and communities facing barriers to access to education and services.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; strong organizational skills.
• Must obtain required criminal record clearance (DOJ and FBI) prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Support development, implementation, and coordination of early literacy and math programs.
• Facilitate parent workshops on literacy, math, and community resources.
• Plan and implement engaging after-school programs for elementary-aged students.
• Coordinate supervision of mentors, including scheduling and onboarding.
• Promote programs in partnership with schools and community organizations.
• Maintain communication with families and build strong community presence.
• Contribute to evaluation, data tracking, and outcomes reporting.
