Job summary

Morrison Child and Family Services is seeking a Skills Trainer to provide intensive skill-based mental health services to adolescents and their families as they transition from residential treatment back to the community. This in-person role reports to the Program Director and is based at Mt. Scott in Portland, OR.

The position requires a high school diploma, 2 years of youth/family experience, and QMHA compliance with Oregon rules. Bilingual Spanish is preferred; a Bachelor's degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of experience working with youth and/or families.
• Meets QMHA requirements under State of Oregon Administrative Rules.
• Basic computer skills using word processing, spreadsheets, databases and email.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and evaluates community resources for programs and activities, and connects youth and families to them.
• Assists clients in identifying and developing their strengths through activities and other experiences.
• Sets appropriate boundaries and uses clear, respectful communication.
• Works well within a team environment, sharing workload and responsibilities.
