Job Summary:

Synergy, the adolescent component of Addiction Research and Treatment Services, seeks to fill a Bilingual Adolescent Behavioral Health Therapist position within a community-based substance use treatment program. The therapist will deliver an evidence-based family therapy model called MST to Spanish and English-speaking families. MST is recognized as a highly effective intervention by NIDA and NIH, focusing on strength-based, preventive strategies within the youth's natural ecology, including family, peers, school, and neighborhood support systems.

The therapist will receive comprehensive MST training and implement this community-based treatment to help retain youth in their homes, prevent out-of-home placement, and reduce criminal justice involvement. The role involves working independently with support from supervisors and MST consultants, with flexible scheduling and regular supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide intensive MST-based treatment to up to 6 clients, including home visits, case management, and advocacy.
  • Conduct home-based family therapy twice weekly and participate in school, court meetings, and staffing as needed.
  • Be available Monday through Friday and participate in weekend on-call rotations.
  • Assist in transitioning clients from residential or day programs.
  • Perform clinical evaluations and intake screenings.
  • Administer weekly urinalysis screens to monitor treatment progress.
Work Location:

Hybrid model: community/field work, some remote work, and office presence at Fort Logan, Denver.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
  • Registration with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.
  • Eligibility for credentialing as LAC, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT within specified timeframes.
  • Bilingual in Spanish & English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with substance use disorders and adolescent/family treatment.
  • Experience with evidence-based interventions and electronic health records.
Conditions of Employment:
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
  • Background check and compliance with vaccination policies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Entry Level: $56,556 - $71,939
  • Intermediate Level: $61,546 - $78,287

External candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $1,000. Salary estimates are subject to change, and total compensation includes benefits.
