Synergy, the adolescent component of Addiction Research and Treatment Services, seeks to fill a Bilingual Adolescent Behavioral Health Therapist position within a community-based substance use treatment program. The therapist will deliver an evidence-based family therapy model called MST to Spanish and English-speaking families. MST is recognized as a highly effective intervention by NIDA and NIH, focusing on strength-based, preventive strategies within the youth's natural ecology, including family, peers, school, and neighborhood support systems.
The therapist will receive comprehensive MST training and implement this community-based treatment to help retain youth in their homes, prevent out-of-home placement, and reduce criminal justice involvement. The role involves working independently with support from supervisors and MST consultants, with flexible scheduling and regular supervision.
Hybrid model: community/field work, some remote work, and office presence at Fort Logan, Denver.
