Job summary

The City of New York's Department of Transportation (DOT) seeks a visionary Data Scientist for its Bike Share & Shared Mobility unit. You will translate Citi Bike and micro-mobility data into actionable insights to inform planning and daily operations, at a moment of program expansion and renewal.

Reporting to the Director of Data Science, you will build predictive models, create dashboards in Power BI, and craft concise narratives for senior leaders to guide policy and investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong data analysis, modeling, and storytelling skills.
• Experience with large relational datasets and data visualization.
• Ability to communicate analyses and insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on bike share and shared mobility to inform planning.
• Develop predictive models to anticipate demand and revenue impacts.
• Prepare reports and briefing materials based on Bike Share data.
• Monitor data quality and maintain data integrity across datasets.
• Develop and maintain dashboards (Power BI) to deliver insights to leadership.
