- Pay: $15 - 15.25 per hour based on experience
- Start Date: Mid-May with positions available through the summer season
- Seasonal: This position is available from late May to early October, aligning with our winter ski and summer bike seasons. Seasonal work involves temporary employment tied to specific times of the year.

Featuring one of the largest trail systems in the East, a certified IMBA Ride Center, and host to events like Downhill Southeast, WV Enduro Series, and the 2024 UCI Cross Country Marathon World Championships, Snowshoe Bike Park is among the best in the U.S. The role involves building, repairing, and maintaining Bike Park trails using heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, dozers, etc., following the trail crew foreman's directives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain trails to professional standards, ensuring stability, sustainability, and appropriate trail ratings. Create low-risk alternatives on various trail levels. Manage water drainage to prevent erosion and promote trail longevity.
- Finish trail work by clearing debris, seeding disturbed areas, and maintaining berms and features. Operate heavy equipment and perform manual labor, ensuring safety and conducting equipment inspections.
- Monitor the bike park for hazards, coordinate trail closures and repairs, and ensure proper signage before opening new trails and features, with approval from management.
- Participate in safety discussions, support races and events, and assist with other bike park operations as needed.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Experience:
- Must be a downhill mountain biker capable of riding all trail levels.
- Knowledge of cross-country biking to meet sport demands.
- At least 2 years of trail building and maintenance experience, preferably in a bike park environment.
- At least 2 years of experience with heavy equipment, chainsaws, and power tools.
- Experience operating various heavy equipment for trail building.
