Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineer for the Core Runtime team in Kirkland, WA. You will write product and system development code for BigQuery-scale components, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability.

The role requires strong C++ skills and hands-on experience with large distributed systems, databases internals, and SQL. You will review code, participate in design reviews, and contribute to documentation while collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of software development or 1 year with advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks.
• Experience in database internals, query processing, performance analysis, SQL.
• Experience programming in C++.

Responsibilities
