Job Position: Bigdata/Hadoop Architect

Job Location: Oldsmar, FL

Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills

8+ years of experience in Java and J2EE technologies
5+ years of experience with architecture with a minimum of 2 years on Hadoop
3+ years of experience in leading and mentoring teams at architect level
Extensive solutioning and implementation skills using CDH involving Impala, Spark, MapReduce and Hive
Processing streaming inputs / importing data into HDFS from heterogeneous technologies
Capacity planning for Hadoop clusters
Processing unstructured data with structured data in a SLA‑driven environment
Expertise in Hadoop monitoring and performance tuning activities
Knowledge of E2E CDH ecosystem
Hands‑on development and administration
Knowledge of Data Lakes, processing with Graph DBs and Scala will be a plus
Knowledge of working in an Agile / Scrum based environment will be a plus
Technical team management experience including offshore team members
Excellent personal communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Experience in machine learning, data analytics

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible for overall Hadoop architecture, capacity planning, design and standards
Guide onshore and offshore teams to ensure standards are met
Work with the application development teams throughout the development life cycle
Stay current with emerging industry trends
Ability to take initiative and ownership on tasks
