A leading aerospace company is seeking a Proposal Development Specialist to manage proposal processes for Software as a Solution. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in commercial or technical fields. Ideal candidates will possess strong project management skills and be able to lead teams effectively. You will be responsible for all aspects of proposal development for GE Aerospace’s Software as a Solution business unit with primary responsibility for the Asia Pacific sales territory.
Primarily be responsible for managing complete lifecycle and development of proposal process including on-time delivery of high quality proposals aligned with customer outcomes and business profitability.
Lead and drive deal team to develop bid requirements related to technical, financial, and commercial inputs to support strategy development and risk management.
Utilize in-depth knowledge of own and others sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes or customer groups and uses analytical thinking and commercial experience to execute policy/strategy.
Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
Manage customer specification review, proposal development, contract development and negotiations, including complex software sales and service agreements.
Review Customer Orders to ensure compliance with approved Price Levels, Terms and cycle commitments to coordinate hand off to Project Execution teams.
Use Salesforce.com to manage proposal workflow and develop pipeline forecasts.
Lead communications at all organizational levels including leading deal reviews with senior and executive leadership.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
3+ years of commercial or technical experience.
Ability to regularly attend and lead meetings in the Asia Pacific time zones (+8/+9 UTC)
Knowledge or background in software and/or Aviation industry.
Prior experience in sales, commercial finance, contract negotiation or project execution.
Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
APMP or other certifications
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Strong integrity and demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for strengthening overall commercial compliancy and reduce risk in commercial proposal processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and decision making ability.
Strong interpersonal skills. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field.
The base pay range for this position is $97,000 to $150,000 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on December 31st 2025.
