• Perform and/or coordinate detailed proposal write-ups, when required.
• Create response letters for each assigned proposal.
• Ensure the timely completion and submission of each assigned proposal in coordination with the business development manager.

Brief Description

Complete all necessary duties to create, submit and follow up on bids and proposals for the company.

Overview Of Position

Manage the entire bid and proposal process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Essential Job Functions

• Input all data into the Estimating Workbook.
• Interface with customers for pertinent information regarding each bid.
• Follow up with customers or business development managers on the status of each proposal until expiration or selection.
• Obtain feedback (competition, price, schedule, technical, etc.) on each proposal once a decision is made and forward to bid and proposal managers.
• Perform and/or coordinate detailed proposal write‑ups, when required.
• Create response letters for each assigned proposal.
• Ensure the timely completion and submission of each assigned proposal in coordination with the business development manager.

Skills

• Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering required. Associate level requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering. General level requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering plus 5+ years’ experience. Senior level requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering plus 10+ years’ experience.
• Must have strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and ability to perform technical writing.
• Ability to read blueprints and possess some materials background.
• Strong computer background, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
• Capability to use Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Catia, or Creo.
• Must be safety‑oriented, use personal protective equipment when needed, and follow all safety and plant rules and regulations.
• Must work well within a team environment and maintain strong attendance and housekeeping standards.
